MTAT Ear (or auricular) Acupuncture for Stress & Anxiety Management

Evidence-based with a wide clinical application to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and support symptoms of stress and anxiety.

What is a ear acupuncture?
Ear acupuncture is the art of inserting sterile, surgical, steel needles into certain acupressure points on the outer ear, which affects nerve impulses and the central nervous system.
It is evidence-based with a wide clinical application to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and support symptoms of stress and anxiety.
Up to 5 needles are placed in the ear for 30-45 minutes whilst you sit or lie and relax.
Vital energy (Qi) will travel around your body's meridians which the acupuncture points affect.

Effects and benefits of ear acupuncture
Based on Chinese practice, most people experience a beneficial effect on their health and wellbeing. Sleep and relaxation are improved.
Evidence suggests ear acupuncture can help stress, anxiety, headaches, migraines, nausea, hay fever, pain reduction and ADHD

Why ear acupuncture?
There are very few contra-indications to ear acupuncture and very few side-effects.
Ear acupuncture can be administered to all age groups, from children as young as 6 years old.
Can be used as a stand alone therapy, or alongside reflexology for maximum effectiveness.
The treatment required no removal of clothing (except footwear if having reflexology too).
