Reiki - what is it?
Reiki is a gentle, non evasive treatment that helps to restore balance (emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically) and promote wellbeing.
It is not a religion-it is based around intent and a flow of Reiki energy.
Why Reiki?
In a world which is full of pressure, an hour dedicated to just you can help you relax and restore depleting energy levels. It can also help you maintain balance with regular treatments as and when you feel the need .

When can you not have a reiki treatment?
Please be aware that the following can restrict you from having reiki:

infectious diseases (viral e.g. flu/bacterial e.g. impetigo/fungal/infestations e.g. head lice)
-
active shingles
-
pregnancy (in first 12 weeks)
-
fractures/broken bones (if not already set by a doctor)
-
a temperature (wait 24 hrs until your temperature has gone down)
-
diarrhoea and /or vomiting in last 24 hours
-
dysfunction of the nervous system
-
under the influence of alcohol/drugs
-
epilepsy
-
recently post-op

What to expect
During a Reiki session with Serenity Therapies, you will be asked a few questions. Once comfortable, you will take off your shoes and lie fully clothed on the Reiki couch (any watches and mobiles must be on silent and stored in your bag or a tray will be provided). Wearing loose clothing is preferable as tight items of clothing may need to be loosened e.g. belts, ties.
Why choose me
I have completed the attunements and initiation in the third degree of the Usui system of natural healing (Reiki Master Teacher). Most clients have reported how hot my hands feel (sign reiki is flowing) and how relaxed they feel after a treatment.

I also teach Reiki in small groups - please ask for more details.

Reiki is available to all aged 18+
I offer a hands on treatment (hovering over any personal areas).
If you do not want a hands on treatment, I can provide a full treatment without touch - instead, giving you the option for me to place my hands over (rather than on) you.
