What is facial reflexology?

Doncaster face reflexology anxiety

The unique benefit of Facial Reflexology is that not only does it aim to help you improve your health and wellbeing, it also can help you to get a healthy glow.

The face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read what is going on within the body's internal organs, central nervous system and neuro-biological system. Within this treatment, I apply energy healing techniques, use a facial reflexology tool, lymphatic drainage massage movements and specific Facial Reflexology reflex points to achieve this distinct specialist area of reflexology.

I was taught by Ziggie Bergman Winner of the Excellence Award for Innovation in modern Facial Reflexology who created Bergman Method Facial Reflexology which is built on a combination of Native American techniques and Asian body maps that chart the reflex points on the face, combined with Zone Theory.

The face's proximity to the brain is key to the effectiveness of manipulating facial reflex points which directly connect to the body's neuro-pathways. Facial Reflexology can be a wonderful therapy to help identify reflexes out of balance and to help you improve your health and well-being.

As tension in the face is gently released it can help the face feel and look smoother and more toned as I stimulate the body’s healing mechanisms using vegan, natural products.

Those with anxiety or who struggle to 'switch off' will benefit from facial reflexology. Also perfect for those who dislike their feet being touched. Also helpful for those with Bruxism (teeth grinding/clenching). However, it is the ultimate in reflexology to have both your face and feet worked on in the same session.

Facial reflexology benefits/aims to:

  • reduce symptoms of stress

  • benefit those suffering with migraine and bruxism (teeth grinding)

  • improve circulation of the face and head area

  • bring about a general feeling of calmness and relaxation

  • improve lymphatic drainage

  • relieve tension in the muscle tissue

  • relieve mental strain and improve concentration

  • help relieve sinusitis/congestion

  • rejuvenate the skin - leaving you face glowing and radiant

  • stimulate collagen and elastin (minimise appearance of ageing)
