Reiki & Hopi Ear

Service Description

An 85 minute treatment including 35 minutes Hopi ear candling + 40 minutes reiki. An ancient practice involving a Biosun candle, being a hollow tube of premium quality pesticide-free untreated cotton, hardened with pure beeswax and infused with honey extract and traditional herbs and pure essential oils. A light suction-action (chimney effect) on the eardrum induces a pleasant feeling of warmth to aid relaxation, softening of ear wax, balancing pressure from frequent flying/diving and relief from sinus problems (ear, nose and throat). Hopi Ear candling is a gentle, safe way to help with sinus problems and pressure in the ears. A course of treatments can help alleviate the symptoms of hay fever, migraines and sinusitis. It can also help loosen compacted ear wax. Includes massage of face, ears, scalp and acupressure points massage to encourage lymphatic drainage and promote relaxation. Ideal for those who frequently fly or take part in deep sea diving. Not advisable if you have any of the following: - The ear drum is perforated - Grommets are in place - The ear is infected or has inflammation - Allergies to beeswax - Cochlear implant or auricular drains Treatment may need to be modified if have had any of the following: - Head or neck injury - Recent surgery - Recent dental canal work Not advised during the first 3 months of pregnancy Followed by a 45 minute session of reiki. A non-invasive complementary therapy. Reiki means universal life energy, flowing through the hands of the therapist, which are laid onto/near the fully clothed body of you, the receiver. The energy flows where is it needed the most and including chakra balancing work – promoting relaxation, an aid to meditation and helping the body to heal itself.
